The Fearless Novelist Private Facebook Group
A place where novelists come together to pursue a love affair with words and characters.
Who is the group for?
The Fearless Novelist group suits anyone who is actively writing a novel-length (50,000 words +) fiction story and is interested in connecting with other novelists online.
This group transcends time zone boundaries, in order to bring like-minded novelists together. It provides motivation to continue on the sometimes lonely path of writing.
We are a friendly group that provides a non-threatening environment to nurture novelists. We cater for all novelists, from those who are just beginning their first project, through to those with a saleable manuscript.

How the Group Started
When I made a commitment to write my first novel, I explored various literary groups, but struggled to meet other people who were writing full-length novels. Novel writing is different to other types of writing, and comes with its own challenges.
I wanted to connect with other people going through similar trials. I managed to do this during literary workshops and festival, and it was uplifting. I drew strength from the different points of view I experienced, and found lots of generous authors willing to share information. But there was no specific place where I could connect with these people regularly. So, I decided to start my own Adelaide-based critiquing group called The Novelists' Circle in 2010.
I wanted to share the benefits of this little community with people who can't physically attend meetings in Adelaide, and so the FaceBook group was born.

Success Stories
The Fearless Novelist is still going strong after all these years, and has produced a number of published authors; some via traditional channels, and other who have chosen to take the indie route. There has been so much demand for this unique group, that after seven year of putting people on a waiting list, there are now 2 face-to-face groups running in Adelaide.

Testimonials
In five months with the group, I learned more about writing than I did in five years of high school English classes.
Ben Tanny
There is no better way to learn than by offering and receiving friendly criticism. In observing what I would like changed in the writing of others, I have come to see the same habits in my own offerings.
Steve Davey
It would have taken me a lot longer to get published if I hadn't joined the Novelists' Circle.
Carla Caruso
This group gives me the support and motivation I need to keep going with this sometimes lonely pursuit. The diversity of feedback is invaluable to my stories.
